I'm Bruno Costa, a documentary wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Porto, Portugal.
Nearly fifteen years doing this. Still more interested in the people than the wedding.
I like long drives, strange places, loud music, good conversations and people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

02 / HOW I SEE IT
My work sits between documentary wedding photography and a cinematic way of seeing. I photograph people as they are, in the places they choose, without turning the day into a production.
03 / WHERE I WORK
Porto is home. But I've always felt drawn to the road, to unfamiliar places and to the people who make them worth remembering.
I photograph weddings across Portugal, from small civil ceremonies to full-on celebrations, and travel internationally for selected projects.
California and the American Southwest have become part of that story. I've photographed in Joshua Tree and spent time travelling through Nevada and California.
I'm seasonally available in California and open to working wherever there's a good reason to go.
04 / A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

People who are curious, easygoing and happy to let a day take its own shape. A small gathering with close friends or a loud, messy party can both be brilliant. I have a soft spot for places with character: an old bar, a family home, a roadside motel, somewhere that doesn't look like every other wedding venue. Give me good company and a little room for the unexpected.

Documentary at its core, with a cinematic influence. I'm not there to turn your wedding into a production or spend the day directing people. I know the technical side of photography, but it's never been the most interesting part of the job. I'd rather be close to the people, pay attention and know when to step in or get out of the way.

Yes. I'm based in Porto and photograph elopements, intimate weddings and bigger celebrations across Portugal. I also work as a destination wedding photographer for selected international projects, including California. Shorter coverage is available for smaller celebrations.
